Most people can relate to having stubborn, hard-to-target areas of fat they’d like to get rid of, and Deso treatment helps do exactly that. DesoFace and DesoBody are fat-dissolving injections, which target localised areas of fat on the face and body.

Whatever the problem areas, from double chins to visible jowls, from love handles to fatty build-up on the upper back, Deso injections are a state-of-the-art solution.

The active ingredient in Deso is deoxycholic acid – a bile acid found naturally in the body, which dissolves fat. The injections liquefy fat in the areas being targeted, which is drained into the body and eliminated by the metabolic system. Here are some of the questions we get asked about Deso injections:

Is Deso invasive?

Fat-dissolving injections are a pain-free alternative to surgical treatments such as liposuction, accelerating the body’s natural fat removal process, without the need for the surgeon’s knife. In terms of improvements to the patient experience, this is huge.

Does Deso hurt?

As with all injections, there might be some discomfort, but Deso products contain a local anaesthetic for patient comfort, taking pain out of the equation.

Are Deso treatments permanent?

Once fat cells have been dissolved, they do not return, but that doesn’t mean they can’t be replaced. A healthy diet and exercise regime will ensure that fatty tissue doesn’t build up again.

Is there any downtime after Deso injections?

No! You can have your injections and get straight on with your day!

How long does Deso treatment take to work?

Once the area of concern has been injected with Deso, fat cells are liquified and permanently destroyed. Over the course of several weeks, the fat is drained through the lymphatic system and eradicated metabolically, using the body’s natural processes. All in all, the process takes 3-4 weeks.

Can Deso treat obesity?

Fat-dissolving injections are designed to treat specific, localised areas, rather than to remove a percentage of overall body fat. As spectacular as these products are, they work in conjunction with, rather than as a replacement for healthy diet and exercise.

How many appointments does Deso treatment take?

Most people have 3 or 4 treatments, at 4-6 weekly intervals, depending on the extent of the fat being targeted. A double chin, for example, needs somewhere between 2 and 4 treatments.

Are there any side effects to Deso?

Other than mild inflammation, swelling and redness at the injection site, side effects are unlikely. The acid used in the injections occurs naturally in the body, so allergic reactions are rare.
