Microneedling works by causing numerous tiny punctures in the skin, triggering the body’s natural repair and rejuvenation processes, which flood the area with new collagen and elastin – the bodily products which keep skin firm and supple. DERMAPEN FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • The treatment significantly improves the appearance of facial and décolleté lines and wrinkles, sun-damaged and ageing skin, acne scars, stretch marks, enlarged pores, and rosacea.

  • We apply a topical anaesthetic cream to numb your skin, ensuring the treatment is pain free. You might experience a tingling sensation, similar to skin sensitivity, but our clients tell us any discomfort is minimal.

  • It can take up to six weeks for visible signs of rejuvenation and repair to be seen. Due to the enhanced production of collagen and elastin, the process continues within the skin over the following months for natural, long-lasting results.

  • It’s a simple and straightforward procedure, with the whole treatment taking around 45 minutes.

  • We recommend three treatments, six weeks apart. Treating acne scars may take a little longer, requiring up to five treatments altogether.
