Wrinkle Reduction Prescription treatments in Inverness

Anti-wrinkle injections is the world’s non surgical anti-ageing treatment to correct dynamic lines, migraines, hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) to the palms and underarms. Wrinkle Reduction is incredibly versatile and it’s no coincidence that it’s the world’s leading non-surgical treatment. It can smooth away frown and forehead lines, relax laughter lines, lift the eyebrow area and even correct gummy smiles and excessive sweating.

Not only are anti-wrinkle injections highly effective, they are also simple and straightforward. A treatment programme of targeted injections will deliver results in three to 14 days with results lasting around three to four months. The process only takes 10 to 30 minutes and you can get on with everyday life on the day you have your treatment.

Ultimately anti wrinkle injections can help a wide variety of conditions and as a prescription only medication a full consultation is required prior to treatment.

Wrinkle Reduction also helps relieve excessive underarm sweating

Hyperhidrosis is a condition in which the body sweats more than it needs to in order to regulate body temperature. It’s a relatively common condition that can begin to impact on everyday life. If excessive sweating is stopping you from doing the things you’d like and causing embarrassment, Wrinkle Reduction injections could be a valid option.

Here at Emma J Aesthetics, we’re highly experienced in treating hyperhidrosis in this way. The results can last for around six months with underarms feeling far drier and fresher. Click here to find out more.

Your questions answered

What is anti-wrinkle injections?

Anti-wrinkle injections is a protein produced naturally by the bacterium clostridium botulinum. Anti-wrinkle injections is commonly used therapeutically to treat blephrospasm; a spasm around the eyes.

What areas can effectively be treated?

Anti-wrinkle injections helps lift the brow, correct hyperhidrosis (excess underarm sweating), correct a gummy smile. It acts as an anti ageing medicine to correct the glabella (furrow between eyebrows) and soften crow’s feet which also helps to lift the brow.

How does it work?

It relaxes the contraction of muscles by temporarily blocking nerve impulses, resulting in muscles that can no longer contract. When used in controlled doses it helps to soften facial expressions leaving you looking refreshed with a natural, youthful appearance.

When do the desired effects appear?

Desired effects appear 4 to 14 days post injection. It is important to wait until this time has lapsed to see expected results.

Duration of action?

This varies from person to person but as a guide, injections should last 3 to 4 months. Having regular injections as soon as the muscles regain activity causes them to gradually shrink in size. The result is that the intervals between injections become longer.

Rare side effects

1% of people may develop slight lowering of the eyelid which may not even be noticed. This is a temporary effect.

Side effects?

– Slight discomfort from needle entering the skin
– Stinging sensation whilst toxin is being injected
– Small chance of slight bruise at injection site
– Mild flu like symptoms
– Mild temporary headaches

Who can have anti-wrinkle injections?

People between the ages of 18 to 65 years of age.
Anti-wrinkle injections should be avoided if you fall into any of the categories below:
– If you have skin heavily wrinkled from sun damage anti-wrinkle injections cannot bring back your skins elasticity
