What will happen at my consultation?
The consultation is your opportunity to make sure the desired treatment is suitable for you and if it is not suggesting an alternative that you are happy with. During your consultation we will assess your lips and discuss the type of result you are hoping to achieve including the shape and amount of volume. Is the treatment painful?
People can often worry about how painful a treatment will be before undergoing a procedure, that’s why we will do everything we can to make the pain as minimal as possible. Before the procedure begins, we will offer a topical anaesthetic cream and then an ice pack to help reduce any swelling. Most people find that they are able to return back to work straight after the treatment.
Will the area be swollen after treatment?
There is expected to be some swelling as well as redness, however, these are not permanent side effects and will soon subside, ice packs can be used to reduce the swelling. Bruising can also be a common side effect; this will subside and can be covered up using a specialist concealer that we have.
